Dr. Xiaojun
Gu offers
outstanding programming skills to complement his
specialties in Environmental Engineering, Transportation
System Planning, Risk Analysis, Digital Signal
Processing, Urban Traffic Control, Integer Programming
Network, Advanced Highway Design,
Linear Regression Analysis, and Times Series.
These specialties are crucial for understanding the
scope of risk analysis studies. At
ESRA
Consulting Corporation, he has successfully
programmed and calculated collision
involvement risk analyses of millions of Arizona and
Florida drivers over an eleven-year period.
Mr.
Gu is the co-author of several risk analysis papers,
and, under the directorship of Ms. Straus, has several
additional technical papers in progress and pending
publication. He is the recipient of a prestigious
award from the
Society of Risk Analysis
for the paper, "Florida
Drivers: Their Manners of Collisions and Risks".
At
ESRA,
Mr. Gu's responsibilities include but are not limited to
collecting and synthesizing data, developing and running
transportation engineering programs, and expediting data
scheduling and processing.
Mr. Gu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical
Engineering from
Southeast
University and a Master of Science in Automation
Engineering from
Shanghai
Jiaotong University,
and a Ph.D. from the
University of Miami.
